Yamunotri is the original source of Yamuna River surrounded by lofty peaks forest and large valley. Yamuna is the second largest and one one holiest river in India after Ganga. It is part of the four holy abodes in Chardham pilgrimage yatra. Pilgrims also get to enjoy a number of hot water springs in the vicinity of the temple.

Yamunotri is located at an altitude of 3293 metres above sea level, in the Garhwal Himalaya about 40 km away from Barkot in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The actual source of Yamuna River lies in the Yamunotri Glacier at a height 6,387 metres near Bandarpunch Peaks in Lower Himalayas.

Yamunotri Dham Yatra Tour Package – (3 Days by Taxi/ 4Days by Bus)

Day 1 : Haridwar – Sayana Chatti (210 Kms 7 – 8 hrs) : Depart from Haridwar early morning and stop for lunch on the way in Mussoorie. On arrival check in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2 :SayanaChatti -Yamunotri -Jankichatti- SayanaChatti 18 kms Drive 6 kms trek : After an early breakfast leave for Jankichatti Chatti (drive18 kms) to start your journey.& start your day with a tough trek of 6 kms .Arrive at Yamunotri and pray at the temple, and take a holy Achman to start your most sacred pilgrimage to Char Dham. Come back to Phool Chatti in the evening, and return to the Hotel, Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3 :Drive to Rishikesh, en-route visit Rishikesh Local Sight Seeing (Ram Jhulla, Laxman Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Parmarth Niketan, Shivananda Ashram & Gita Kutir). in the evening transfer to Hotel.
